Role - Construction Civil Manager
Location - Dresden, Germany

The Construction Manager will be 100% site based
  • The construction management is responsible for the entire scope of construction site activities on a given project site and acts under the direction and on behalf of the project management. 
  • Within a given project, you define the site strategy, manage the site teams, and manage the execution of the project scope. 
  • They ensure that safety, quality, cost, and schedule are in line with contractual obligations, company policy, and local regulations.
Your tasks

  • Lead site and site teams to meet performance standards, project goals, and all grid policies and procedure
  • Participation in the calculation, planning and tendering of construction activities as well as support for contract strategies in close coordination with EHS, quality, planning and procurement.
    • Overall responsibility for the organization and supervision of all construction work
    • Central contact person on site for subcontractors, partners and consortia in all construction, organisational and operational issues.
    • Ensuring integration and compliance with all EHS and quality requirements, actively promoting a strong safety culture ("Stop Work Policy", hazard detection, continuous improvement).
    • Implementation and control of the Construction Management System (LPS) including scheduling, resource planning, and cost and risk management.
    • Regular and clear communication with all employees to ensure collaboration, transparency and process reliability.
    • Monitoring and reporting of key KPIs such as safety, project progress, subcontractor quality, and budget compliance.
    • Participate in improvement initiatives regarding construction processes, tools and documentation as well as pass on lessons learned to future projects.
 

Your profile 

 

    • Completed technical education (civil engineering) as well as several years of professional experience in the construction management of complex industrial or energy facilities; experience in high-voltage substation construction is an advantage.
    • Sound knowledge of EHS as well as corresponding qualifications according to international standards.
    • Proven leadership skills, especially in managing and supporting teams under challenging conditions on the construction site.
    • Familiarity with international norms, standards and best practice procedures in the construction industry, as well as knowledge of relevant regional environmental and building legislation.
    • Confident verbal and written communication, ability to report accurately and to coordinate clearly with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Knowledge of English is an advantage.
    • IT skills, including collaborative platforms and tools.
