Job Description: Construction Supervisor – Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I)
Job Purpose
Provide supervision and oversight of Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) construction activities for onshore and offshore oil & gas projects. Ensure all works are executed safely, in accordance with approved designs, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules. Key Responsibilities

Job Purpose
Provide supervision and oversight of Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) construction activities for onshore and offshore oil & gas projects. Ensure all works are executed safely, in accordance with approved designs, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules. Key Responsibilities
1. Construction Supervision
- Supervise day-to-day execution of E&I construction activities at site.
- Ensure all works are performed in line with approved scope, drawings, and engineering standards.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Provide guidance on Electrical, Instrumentation, Telemetry, and Telecom construction activities.
- Supervise installation activities including cable pulling, termination, testing, instrumentation installation, and system integration.
- Support execution of systems such as DCS, ESD, F&G, and telecom networks.
- Conduct and witness inspections as per Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
- Review and approve material inspections and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Verify completion of work and sign off inspection and quality records.
- Review construction drawings, method statements, schedules, and procedures.
- Evaluate contractor submissions and ensure alignment with project standards.
- Monitor construction progress and maintain daily activity reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Participate in work permit processes and ensure adherence to permit conditions.
- Promote safe work practices across all site activities.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Identify potential issues, delays, or bottlenecks and propose corrective actions.
- Report progress, deviations, and anomalies to management.
- Support brownfield modifications, hook-up works, and integration activities.
- Review isolation plans and ensure safe execution of modification works.
- Supervise offshore construction activities including fabrication yards and installation sites.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering OR
- Diploma / ONC in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of experience in E&I construction supervision in oil & gas projects
- Experience in both onshore and offshore projects, including platforms and jacket structures
- Hands-on experience in commissioning, installation, and inspection of E&I systems
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of Electrical, Instrumentation, Telemetry, and Telecom systems
- Expertise in construction methods, inspection, and testing processes
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schedules, and method statements
- Familiarity with industry codes, standards, safety, and quality regulations
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to identify risks and recommend practical solutions
- Experience managing contractor execution and workforce
- Effective communication (written and verbal)
- Strong coordination and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work in multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary environments
- High attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality
- Computer literate with proficiency in standard office tools
- Willingness to work in offshore and site-based environments
