Job Overview
The Contracts & Procurement Specialist manages the full contract lifecycle and supports procurement activities for operations. This role focuses on supplier selection, contract execution, and ongoing contract management to ensure cost-effective, compliant, and timely delivery of services and materials. The position works closely with internal teams and external suppliers to support operational needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day contract and procurement support
  • Manage contracts from drafting and negotiation through execution and closeout
  • Develop and execute sourcing and procurement strategies
  • Support supplier selection, standardization, and supplier relationship programs
  • Lead tender activities including issuing bid packages and managing evaluations
  • Negotiate commercial terms to achieve best value and reduce risk
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Support cost control, spend optimization, and cash flow initiatives
  • Provide contract interpretation and guidance to internal stakeholders
  • Maintain contract records and support activities within SAP
  • Drive continuous improvement in procurement and contract processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent practices
  • Adhere to all company safety, environmental, and operational policies
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field
Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in contracts, procurement, or related disciplines
  • Experience supporting drilling, exploration, logistics, engineering, operations, maintenance, or project contracts preferred
  • Oil & gas industry experience required
  • Strong knowledge of contract formation, administration, and negotiation
  • Familiarity with lump sum, unit rate, and reimbursable contracts
  • Working knowledge of sparing and supply chain strategies
  • Experience working with contractors, preferably in Alaska or North Slope operations
