Hiring: Contracts Lead (Long-Term Contract) | Doha, Qatar
We are currently seeking an experienced Contracts Lead to join a major offshore mega project in Qatar. This is a critical role focused on claims management, dispute resolution, and contract strategy for multi-billion-dollar EPCI projects.

Location: Doha, Qatar
Contract: Long-Term
Work Setup:
  • 100% Onshore
  • Rotation: 12 Weeks ON / 2 Weeks OFF
  • 6 Days per Week
  • 8–10 Hours per Day
Job Purpose
Lead the assessment, negotiation, and resolution of major contractual claims arising from offshore contractors and LLI suppliers, ensuring protection of company interests and effective dispute resolution aligned with project objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead review and evaluation of major contractual claims (Entitlement, Causation & Quantum)
  • Advise PMT on claims handling, dispute avoidance, and negotiation strategies
  • Develop dispute resolution strategies & work plans
  • Conduct claim review meetings with contractors
  • Prepare and present company position papers
  • Interface with Legal, Supply Chain, Finance & stakeholders
  • Maintain and update the Master Claims Register
  • Support amicable resolution to avoid arbitration/litigation
  • Contribute to claims governance, approvals, and settlements
  • Prepare formal close-out documents (Deeds of Settlement, Consents, etc.)
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Law, Supply Chain, Project Management, or related field
Experience Required
  • 8+ years overall experience
  • 4+ years in Oil & Gas industry
  • Proven expertise in EPCI/FEED/Offshore contracts & claims
  • Experience in large-scale offshore developments
  • Strong track record in amicable dispute resolution
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Mediation
    • Arbitration
    • Litigation processes
Technical & Business Skills
  • Strong contractual and legal understanding (Middle East experience preferred)
  • Knowledge of EPCI contracts (Jackets, Topsides, Pipelines)
  • Excellent negotiation & stakeholder management skills
  • Familiarity with:
    • Redfern Schedules
    • Document disclosure & case preparation
    • Witness preparation & legal coordination
  • Planning knowledge (Primavera P6 preferred)
  • High proficiency in English communication
  • Strong analytical & attention-to-detail capability
