This is an exciting FIFO opportunity to join a global hydropower leader and support a highly-regarded project - a large renewable energy project currently under construction. This leading company is seeking a Cost Controller to support major piping and structural packages across the project.
The role will have a strong focus on supporting the Project Manager, Planner, Site Manager, Contracts Manager and the broader project team by providing cost insights, identifying variances and maintaining financial control across the process lifecycle.
FIFO position on a 2:1 roster to Cooma.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting cost planning, measurement, valuation of variations and verification of quantities
- Develop project cost breakdown structures (CBS) and coding frameworks
- Identify cost risks and opportunities and support mitigation strategies
- Ensure alignment between budget, schedule, procurement and contract administration activites
- Managing cost control across fabrication and labour hire agreements
- Input into month-end reporting and cost analysis
- Monitoring budgets, forecasts, commitments, and project spend
- Supporting commercial and project teams with financial visibility and reporting accuracy
- Working closely with site and procurement teams across multiple work packages
- 5+ years' experience in cost control, project controls or financial analysis
- Budget development and monitoring
- Experience within heavy industrial projects, pressure piping, or structural steel essential
- Experience with cost management systems
- Strong reporting and project controls capability within construction or infrastructure environments
- Training in project controls systems, cost engineering or commercial management
