Key Responsibilities Data Science & Delivery
- Develop and deploy machine learning and data science solutions in a trading environment
- Translate business problems into analytical models and deliver end-to-end solutions
- Take ownership of the full lifecycle: data exploration → modelling → deployment → monitoring
- Convert proof-of-concepts into robust, production-grade solutions
- Partner closely with trading teams and product owners
- Communicate insights, model outputs, and limitations clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Continuously refine solutions based on business feedback
- Write clean, maintainable, production-quality Python code
- Deploy models into enterprise data platforms and production environments
- Collaborate with data engineers to ensure scalable and reliable solutions
- Contribute to best practices and knowledge sharing across the team
- Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or similar
- Proven experience delivering data science / machine learning solutions in a commercial environment
- Strong Python skills
- Solid SQL experience working with large datasets
- Experience deploying models into production environments
- Ability to engage and communicate with both technical and business stakeholders
- Experience with time series modelling, forecasting, or optimisation
- Exposure to cloud-based analytics platforms (e.g. Databricks or similar)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- Pragmatic approach — focused on outcomes, not theory
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, stakeholder-driven environment
- High standards for code quality and engineering discipline
