Designer / Drafter (High Voltage Infrastructure)
About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced Designer / Drafter to support the management and maintenance of technical documentation for high-voltage electrical infrastructure projects.
This role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic engineering environment, ensuring the accuracy, quality, and consistency of as-built drawings and technical records associated with critical energy infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
The role requires attendance at the Créalys site and visits to high-voltage substations as required.
Eligibility Applicants must have the legal right to work and reside in Belgium, including possession of the relevant work and residence permits where applicable.

About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced Designer / Drafter to support the management and maintenance of technical documentation for high-voltage electrical infrastructure projects.
This role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic engineering environment, ensuring the accuracy, quality, and consistency of as-built drawings and technical records associated with critical energy infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Update and manage high-voltage (HV) as-built drawings in accordance with applicable standards and specifications.
- Process drawing modifications following engineering projects, redline markups, and field interventions.
- Perform quality control checks on technical drawings and implement improvements where required.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and consistency of project documentation.
- Participate in post-design handover meetings and technical reviews.
- Ensure documentation activities are completed in line with project schedules and deadlines.
- Apply and maintain drafting methodologies across multidisciplinary projects.
- Manage the archiving and administrative handling of drawings and associated metadata.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Designer, Drafter, or CAD Technician.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline.
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and MicroStation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook.
- Fluent in French.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organisational abilities.
- Proactive, flexible, and customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
- Previous experience within high-voltage electrical infrastructure, substations, or power transmission environments.
- Familiarity with as-built drawing processes and documentation management.
- Experience using ProjectWise.
- Technical knowledge of transmission or electrical network infrastructure.
- Knowledge of Dutch would be advantageous.
