Senior Electrical Designer/Drafter – Gold Coast/Southern Brisbane

About the Role
With an exciting pipeline of projects over the next 12 months, you’ll be joining a busy, productive, and free-flowing team. This role is focused on delivering detailed electrical, instrumentation and control systems designs and documentation across a range of engineering projects, including layouts, schematics, single line diagrams, cable routing, and P&IDs.

About the Role
With an exciting pipeline of projects over the next 12 months, you’ll be joining a busy, productive, and free-flowing team. This role is focused on delivering detailed electrical, instrumentation and control systems designs and documentation across a range of engineering projects, including layouts, schematics, single line diagrams, cable routing, and P&IDs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Prepare detailed design layouts, piping & instrumentation diagrams
- Assist engineers for onsite inspections, installations, or commissioning of electrical systems
- Gather information and use existing knowledge of relative standards and legislations to ensure design work meet compliance requirements
- Manage drafting load instructing other designers that are involved on the job
- Carry out documentation reviews or work that has been produced by other designers
- Always comply with all company policies
- Diploma or Certificate in an electrical design discipline
- Electrical or instrument fitter license preferred.
- 12+ years of professional experience
- Experience with modelling and CAD (preferably including 3D) software
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
