• About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Detection Engineer to develop, test, and optimise high‑quality threat detections that strengthen our cyber defense posture. In this role, you will execute detection engineering workflows, contribute to tuning and refinement activities, and support threat‑led detection initiatives in close collaboration with Cyber Defense Center (CDC) analysts and Digital stakeholders.
You will play a critical role in maturing our Detection‑as‑Code capabilities, maintaining high engineering standards, and ensuring our detections are reliable, well‑documented, and operationally effective.

• Key Responsibilities

         Leadership & Collaboration

• Work collaboratively across CDC pods, engineering teams, and Digital stakeholders.Detection Engineering
• Implement and deploy detection rules through CI/CD workflows and engineering standards
• Review alert behaviour (BP/FP), assist with tuning, and document outcomes. 

       Accountabilities

• Maintain clean, well-structured code repositories aligned with best practices.

• Skills & Experience

• 3–5 years of experience in software development, security engineering, cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure), or similar technical domains.
• Strong ability to write and maintain Python code.
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency with Git & GitHub for version control.
• Familiarity with adversary TTPs and threat‑led detection concepts.
• Experience with Microsoft security and detection platforms.
• Strong competency in KQL for threat hunting and detection logic.
• Proactive problem‑solving skills with a strong understanding of threat detection coverage.
