Job Title: Document Control Administrator III
Location: Borger, TX
Duration: 12 months, with potential extension
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week (flexible start between 6:30 AM – 8:30 AM)
Overtime: Occasional, minimal
Rate: $24-$29 per hour
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Document Control Administrator III to support a refinery-based Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) / Process Safety Management (PSM) team. This role is critical to ensuring regulatory compliance, document accuracy, and effective document lifecycle management throughout project execution phases. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a regulated industrial environment.

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Document Control Administrator III to support a refinery-based Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) / Process Safety Management (PSM) team. This role is critical to ensuring regulatory compliance, document accuracy, and effective document lifecycle management throughout project execution phases. Key Responsibilities
- Support engineering and capital projects through design, construction, and final handover phases
- Monitor and coordinate contractor document control activities to ensure compliance with project requirements
- Track, manage, and maintain project and compliance documentation within electronic document management systems
- Ensure timely document reviews, approvals, organization, and final turnover of deliverables
- Maintain compliance of contractor document management systems
- Provide secure and controlled access to documents while maintaining accurate records
- Manage document quality checks, review cycles, revision control, and procedural compliance
- Prepare document tracking logs, status reports, and metrics as required
- Train personnel and contractors on document control processes, standards, and requirements
- Support audits, compliance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives related to document management
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 5 years of experience in records management, document control, or document administration
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience using electronic document management systems (EDMS)
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a regulated, deadline-driven environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in refining, chemical, oil & gas, or industrial environments
- Bachelor’s degree (Engineering or related field preferred)
- Familiarity with SAP and structured document control systems
- Working knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) documentation
- Exposure to PHAs, MOCs, and Process Safety Information (PSI)
- Prior experience supporting audits, regulatory compliance, or HSE/PSM teams
