EHS Manager
* Local candidate preferred, ideally with previous experience on other construction projects in Rotterdam.
* Full time on site, Monday to Friday 9hours per day. Must be flexible to work extra (Saturday) during busy period and as required by client. There will be occasional in-country travels for meetings (ie. Head office in The Hague).
Experience required:
Full cycle industrial construction project, Oil & Gas / Petrochemical industry experience.
Brownfield construction experience
Modular work
Good understanding of logistics and transportation, for delivery purposes.
Managing staff and subcontractors
Language requirement: Proficiency in Dutch and English (written and spoken)
Contract Terms and conditions:
1) Compensation:
Worker will be paid a daily rate which includes and covers all expenses, with the exception of those specifically defined in these terms and conditions.
Compensations for travel expense are specified under point 4.
Assignment retention is 5% of the hourly/daily rate per the hours/days worked and approved on the timesheets, to be paid on the completion of the assignment, as per client’s discretion.
o If Air Products ends the assignment early and the worker is not at fault, the retention accrued will be paid to the worker
o If the worker ends the contract early by his decision, the retention payment will not be paid.
Future extensions to the existing terms, are not considered part of the same contract, and therefore the bonus will be restarted at the end of the initial term.
2) Working Hours:
Normal working hours are 9 hours per day and may be more on request, in which the provider shall be present at project site, available for work. Working hours are as per client request.
Overtime work (as additional days) will be paid in full, if client has given his prior request or approval for the overtime work, and if within the limits of applicable labour laws.
Working outside project location ( “working from home”) is only allowed only after prior agreement with the Site Manager.
Absence due to illness or family circumstances or time required to obtain visa/residence permits/professional (re-)qualifications cannot be claimed.
3) Work schedule:
Work schedule is 5 working days per week from Monday to Friday.
Client can request for weekend work within the limits of applicable labour laws.
Worker can request for any (unpaid) leave, at least 1 week in advance.
4) Travel cost and travel time:
Travel for daily commuting between project site and accommodation, home or vacation cannot be claimed and must be done outside working hours.
Travel expense for company-requested business trips will be fully reimbursed.
5) Additional terms and conditions
New hires must sign off on agreed job description prior to commencing employment.
Offer on condition 2 x suitable references are provided.
Notice period is 4 weeks.
