Electrical Engineer (All accommodation and travel is paid for)

Join a leading pharmaceutical company at their state-of-the-art Oral Solid Dosage (OSD) manufacturing facility in Yamagata, Japan. This pivotal role places you at the heart of a greenfield project, where your expertise will directly influence the design, maintenance, and operation of electrical systems critical to sterile pharmaceutical production. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all electrical infrastructures—including Class C sterile environments, HVAC systems, and filling lines—operate seamlessly and comply with GMP and industry standards. Required Skills

• 7+ years of hands-on electrical engineering experience, specifically within the pharmaceutical industry’s sterile manufacturing sectors
• Proven capability in designing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems in compliance with strict industry regulations
• In-depth knowledge of Class C equipment and HVAC systems relevant to sterile environments
• Strong troubleshooting skills to quickly resolve electrical issues and maintain operational continuity
• Proficiency with AutoCAD for creating detailed department and process layouts
• Fluency in English is mandatory to effectively collaborate in a multinational environment

Nice to Have Skills

• Japanese language skills to facilitate communication within local teams and documentation
• Experience working in greenfield pharmaceutical projects or similar large-scale facility builds
• Familiarity with particle level monitoring techniques within sterile areas
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies in electrical systems

Preferred Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field
• 7 to 10 years of relevant professional experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing environments with emphasis on sterile production

Other Requirements

• Willingness to work on-site full-time or under a hybrid schedule (3 days on-site, 2 days remote) at the Yamagata location
• Ability to work on a fixed-term contract basis (1 year), with renewal contingent upon project progress and individual performance
• Commitment to compliance with all safety and regulatory procedures within the pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
