Electrical Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to oversee electrical works across a major mining operation. This role will be responsible for supervising contractors, coordinating electrical maintenance activities, and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with site standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage electrical contractors onsite, ensuring compliance with site safety and operational requirements.
• Oversee high-voltage (HV) electrical works, including transformers, switchgear, and associated infrastructure.
• Coordinate and liaise with site maintenance teams to plan and execute maintenance and project activities.
• Conduct daily pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.
• Ensure all electrical work is completed in accordance with relevant legislation, standards, and site procedures.
• Monitor work quality, schedules, and contractor performance.
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of electrical issues across site operations.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to all HSE requirements.

Skills & Experience

• Trade qualified Electrician with a current Electrical Licence.
• Demonstrated experience in an Electrical Supervisor role within mining, heavy industry, or resources environments.
• Strong knowledge of HV systems, transformers, switchgear, and electrical infrastructure.
• Proven experience managing contractors and coordinating multiple work fronts.
• Ability to build effective working relationships with maintenance, operations, and project teams.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Electrician Trade Certificate.
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
• Experience supervising electrical works in a mining or industrial environment.
• Commitment to safety leadership and safe work practices.
• HV switching qualifications and/or authorisations.
• Experience working on remote mine sites.
• Exposure to large-scale mining or heavy industrial operations.
