The company plays a critical role in supporting national energy supply through safe operations, asset optimization, and ongoing brownfield development initiatives.

Facilities Engineer – Operations Readiness and Assurance (OR&A)

Purpose The Facilities Engineer role supports both growth opportunities and brownfield/minor modifications for assets with the following deliverables:
  • Assure the delivery of the Operations Readiness and Assurance (OR&A), with emphasis on Project to Asset Handover
  • Ensure that the Project and Asset are completely ready, prepared, and coordinated to deliver the Project and Operational requirements
  • Ensure the facility (or system) is prepared for a safe and flawless startup
  • Assure engagement of the asset team and optimal delivery from Project Team to the Asset Team
  • Supports late-life management of facilities
  • Supports the management of contracts for essential services in production facilities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations, as well as consistent and dependable performance
The Role Main Responsibilities of this role:
  • Act as Operations Readiness and Assurance (OR&A) Engineer for growth projects
  • Act as Operations Readiness and Assurance (OR&A) Engineer for minor modifications/brownfield projects, including small projects and selected Maintenance and Execution Activities in Production facilities
  • Implements the OR&A requirements. This includes, but is not limited to:
    • Developing and executing the OR&A Implementation Plan, including identification of resource needs
    • Preparing and executing the Project to Asset (P2A) Transfer Plan
    • Ensuring all operation procedures and manuals are developed and in place
    • Ensuring that the maintenance strategies, spare parts, and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) data are developed and uploaded
    • Supporting the development and verification of pre-commissioning and commissioning plans
    • Ensuring that all systems, processes, and documentation are in place before commissioning and start-up
    • Capturing and applying lessons learned from previous projects or phases
  • Provide support through document creation, review and implementation as per assigned Project Controls Assurance Plan (PCAP) deliverables
  • Provide support in document reviews assigned in the Project Document Distribution Matrix (DDM)
  • Provide support during pre-commissioning, FAT and SAT; ensuring findings are incorporated into relevant processes and documentations and assist in closing out of findings and recommendations
  • Ensure operability and maintainability of the project scope
  • Supports the planning and execution of late life asset management activities of facilities
  • Coordinate and negotiate extensions or renewals of Right-of-Way contracts and lease agreements
  • Manage contracts supporting safe, reliable, and efficient operations in production facilities

The Individual Technical Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • Knowledge and experience in the Operations Readiness and Assurance process
  • Technical specialist in offshore or onshore Production Operations with the ability to understand and manage technical issues concurrently
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience of working preferably in offshore/onshore environment in a supervisory position
  • Skilled in SAP
  • A detailed knowledge of hydrocarbon processing & gas treatment
  • Experience of subsea production systems, sour service facilities, methanol recovery & hydrocarbon custody transfer would be advantageous but not essential
  • Experience in developing & optimizing operating & maintenance policies, strategies & work procedures to provide asset integrity & plant availability to meet contractual commitments
