Position Title: Field Service - Intervention Lead Department: Subsea Lifecycle Services
Reports To: Project Manager – Intervention
Overview
As the Intervention Lead, you will be responsible for leading and supervising a team of subsea Intervention operators and technicians specialized in deepwater subsea intervention operations. Your role will involve collaborating with customers, vessel owners, and internal teams to ensure the seamless integration and execution of subsea intervention systems on dedicated vessels.
You will provide technical expertise, oversee operational planning and execution, and prioritize safety and efficiency throughout the process.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Lead and supervise a team of subsea operators and technicians specializing in shallow/deepwater subsea intervention operations for completion work over riser systems with 10k MWP
• Serve as the primary interface with customers, actively engaging in discussions, and collaborating on the planning and execution of intervention system integration to a dedicated vessel.
• Collaborate closely with the vessel owner and internal Engineering, ensuring seamless integration of the subsea intervention system design and execution philosophy with the vessel’s capabilities and operational requirements.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to customers and vessel owners in planning and executing the integration of the subsea intervention system on the dedicated vessel, ensuring optimal functionality and operational efficiency.
• Coordinate with engineering, project management, and procurement teams to develop and implement operational plans, work scopes, and schedules that align with the vessel’s capabilities and project requirements.
• Oversee the coordination and execution of subsea intervention activities, including intervention tool deployment, riser system maintenance, well access, and completion equipment installation, while adhering to OSS and the vessel’s operational guidelines.
• Monitor and assess the operational performance of the integrated subsea intervention system, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions in collaboration with the vessel owner.
• Conduct regular meetings and workshops with customers and vessel owners to align on design specifications, operational procedures, safety protocols, and project milestones.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, operational procedures, and industry best practices throughout all subsea intervention operations, emphasizing the vessel’s requirements and constraints.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to subsea operators and technicians, fostering their professional development and maintaining a high - performing team focused on successful integration and execution.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline or a related field (e.g., subsea engineering, offshore engineering).Extensive experience, typically 10+ years field exposure and 5+ years in subsea intervention operations, with a specific focus on shallow/deepwater projects involving completion work over riser systems with 1 0 k MWP
2. Strong knowledge and expertise in subsea intervention techniques, tools, equipment, and systems, including experience with riser systems, ROVs, intervention tools, and well access methods
3. Thorough understanding of industry regulations, standards, and best practices governing deepwater subsea intervention operations
4. Proven leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate teams in challenging offshore environments.
5. Excellent customer interface skills, with experience collaborating and negotiating with customers and vessel owners on the integration of subsea intervention systems onto dedicated vessels
6. Sound knowledge of HSE practices and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment, emphasizing vessel - specific safety guidelines
7. Excellent problem - solving and decision - making abilities, with a focus on analysing complex situations and implementing effective solutions
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with team members, customers, vessel owners, and subcontractor
