Our client a Global Energy Organization is currently seeking a FIFO Materials Coordinator to join them for a 6-month contract.
  • FIFO Perth to Karratha
  • 2x1 Roster
To plan and prepare all materials, equipment, spares, tools, and consumables required to carry out the Project scope(s) of work during the construction and commissioning phases.
To manage the materials, equipment, tools, and consumables inventory during Project and ensure availability of materials to support the execution of the plan
To develop all materials management procedures and be fully prepared for the onshore execution
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Liaise with the project engineering & planning, procurement lead, engineering and the logistics coordinators to understand project scope materials and priorities
  • Assist the procurement department to input Purchase Orders and expediting information into the material control system
  • Produce and issue reports from the data in the material control system including Expediting, Materials Receipt and Inventory reports
  • Liaise with the site and Perth-based planning personnel to identify and assist in expediting for shipment and receipt of all materials required for scopes at the Karratha site
  • Liaise with the KL based logistics personnel for transport and Dampier/ Karratha shipment planning purposes
  • Perform investigations as requested by the site management team to reconcile equipment and material requirements for particular scopes
  • Perform receipting activities for all project materials.
  • Liaise with Construction Partner to confirm ROS dates, interim laydown and free-issue material handover requirements
  • Manage stores resources in Karratha and onsite to perform receipt inspections and packing/ preservation requirement
  • Ensure the work is planned and prepared according the schedule
  • Allocate & maintain accurate location records for all materials stored onsite
  • Prepare and maintain inventory of all tools and special tools required
  • Responsible for the storage and allocation of all materials
  • Be focal point for all material request from the execution team and Perth
  • Preparation of management reports including materials status as required
  • Interface with procurement and engineering departments onshore to expedite critical material deliveries
  • Develop, monitor, and progress materials KPI’s (performance indicators) to demonstrate the performance against the plans and targets
  • Assist the planners / engineers to keep the schedule up to date with materials requirements and deliveries
Key Skills and Experience Required:
  • Materials Management Professional with proven track record in Offshore Oil and Gas Projects including the management of materials for onshore project, maintenance and or shutdowns
  • Thorough understanding of SPMat and manage tools
  • Demonstrated hands on administration skills
  • Ability to efficiently supervise a team of store persons
  • Minimum of 10 years in materials management
  • Experience with leading teams for onshore projects
  • Experience managing large materials and spares inventories
  • Brownfield or Greenfield campaign experience
  • A good understanding of handling DGs, reviewing SDSs and a basic understanding of HSE practices
  • Familiarity and experience with SPMat (MARIAN), particularly the warehousing and transport modules
  • Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, Outlooks and Teams)
