NES Fircroft are delighted to be partnering with a major Oil and Gas operator who are looking to add a Financial Systems Analyst to join their team working on an Onshore Oil Project In Algeria.
This role will be a contract-based position working a 28/28 rotation for an initial 12 month contract with excellent potential to extend beyond.

About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Systems Analyst to maintain and optimize the clients current core financial systems environment, including Oracle eBS, Oracle Discoverer, and Oracle Essbase, while preparing for the company-wide transition to SAP in Q4 2026. You will play a critical role in managing master data, supporting finance operations, and ensuring seamless system performance. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with IT and finance teams, lead key projects, and develop expertise in cutting-edge financial systems within a collaborative, dynamic environment.

Financial Systems Analyst
About the Role:

You will play a critical role in managing master data, supporting finance operations, and ensuring seamless system performance. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with IT and finance teams, lead key projects, and develop expertise in cutting-edge financial systems within a collaborative, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and monitor the clients core financial systems (Oracle eBS, Oracle Discoverer, Oracle Essbase) and supply chain interface (BAIM) until SAP go-live.
- Manage master data for Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) elements, Cost Centers (CC), General Ledger (GL) accounts, and hierarchical structures, ensuring accuracy and compliance for financial reporting.
- Handle cost allocations, settlements, and periodic postings in SAP CO; support finance teams with payment runs, accounts payable (AP), and manual postings.
- Provide comprehensive support for finance users, including ticket resolution (GL, projects, banking, user access), daily system health checks, and troubleshooting FI/CO module issues.
- Test system enhancements, upgrades, and configurations; document processes, deliver user training, and maintain up-to-date user guides for SAP Fiori and Analytics Cloud tools.
- Monitor system performance; promptly respond to hardware and software incidents and collaborate with technical teams to resolve issues.
- Project manage data migration and finance coordination for SAP implementation and future upgrades.
- Collaborate closely with the projects IT Technology Team on all financial systems matters.
- Maintain clear, accessible documentation to ensure knowledge sharing across finance and IT teams.
- Prepare and present written and verbal reports to management, providing timely updates on system status and project progress.
- Conduct formal and informal end-user training sessions on financial applications.
- Mediate process breakdowns and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve challenges efficiently.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance & Accounting preferred. Candidates with degree-level education in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or related disciplines will also be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience supporting enterprise business information systems, system databases, and financial reporting.
- Expertise in SAP FI/CO and BPC modules, including master data governance for WBS, Cost Centers, GL accounts, and allocation rules. Experience with SAP S/4HANA is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of SAP Joint Venture Accounting (JVA) concepts, processes, and master data configuration.
- Solid finance background with strong analytical skills in issue resolution, data reconciliation, audits, and controls.
- Experience with Oracle eBS and Oracle Essbase system administration and support is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in business intelligence tools such as PowerBI, including report building and user support.
- Familiarity with project management and the ability to lead projects effectively.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with proven ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Fluency in English required; proficiency in French preferred, Arabic a plus.
