About the Role

We are seeking a Full Stack Developer to join a high‑performing technology team within a Tier 1 mining company, supporting critical operations across the Pilbara.

You will join a team that builds and maintains a suite of production‑grade software operating across servers, tablets, and mining trucks in the field. The platform features a modern web front end alongside a robust back end, enabling live data synchronisation with trucks and tablets in remote operating environments.

It is a mission‑critical system relied upon daily to support real operations and real people, and it continues to evolve. The role offers the opportunity to work hands‑on with software that delivers tangible, real‑world impact in a highly operational setting.

You’ll work across a diverse and modern technology environment, including:
  • TypeScript across both front‑end and back‑end services
  • A critical service written in Rust
  • A development component in C++
  • Databases and infrastructure including CouchDB, PostgreSQL, and Nginx
  • GPS data streams, WebSockets, and field‑based networking
  • SSH, CI/CD, and modern DevOps practices
The team is actively delivering upgrades across:
  • Front‑end architecture and performance
  • Containers and cloud platforms, including Azure
  • Azure DevOps (ADO) pipelines and tooling
  • Security enhancements, schema migrations, firewalls, and networking
They're looking for software professionals who:
  • Are motivated by complex, real‑world systems with meaningful outcomes
  • Value safety, teamwork, and supporting operational users
  • Can balance strong engineering principles with pragmatic delivery
  • Focus on outcomes for the people relying on the software in the field
You don’t need to tick every technical box. This role is not about keyword matching but demonstrating deep technical capability, sound judgement, and clear communication skills through the interview process.

As this is a contract role, and only candidates located in Perth, Western Australia, with full working rights will be considered.
