Work Schedule & Rotation
We are seeking an experienced Head of Engineering (Mechanical) to lead and oversee mechanical engineering activities for a major LNG project. The role focuses on ensuring all static and packaged equipment meet project specifications, international standards, and operational excellence requirements.
You will play a critical role in driving technical quality, resolving complex engineering challenges, and ensuring smooth coordination between EPC contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

Work Schedule & Rotation
- 100% Onshore
- Rotation: 12 Weeks ON / 2 Weeks OFF
- Working Days: 6 Days per Week
- Duty Hours: 8-10 Hours per Day
We are seeking an experienced Head of Engineering (Mechanical) to lead and oversee mechanical engineering activities for a major LNG project. The role focuses on ensuring all static and packaged equipment meet project specifications, international standards, and operational excellence requirements.
You will play a critical role in driving technical quality, resolving complex engineering challenges, and ensuring smooth coordination between EPC contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical engineering design and execution for static and package equipment
- Conduct independent (cold eye) technical reviews of project deliverables
- Ensure full compliance with Company’s standards and industry codes
- Provide expert technical guidance to EPC contractors, vendors, and subcontractors
- Drive resolution of complex mechanical issues impacting schedule or cost
- Review and approve mechanical package purchase orders and specifications
- Ensure seamless integration of new equipment into operating facilities
- Monitor project milestones and deliverables; recommend recovery plans if needed
- Support commissioning, startup, and early operations phases
- Contribute to HAZOP, safety studies, and lessons learned initiatives
- Static Equipment
- Mechanical Packages such as:
- Cooling Towers
- Steam Boilers
- Air Cooled Condensers (ACC)
- Desalination Systems
- Nitrogen Generation Units
- Chemical Injection Packages
- Wastewater & Potable Water Treatment Systems
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 10+ years of total experience in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 6 years in Oil & Gas / LNG sector
- At least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role
- Experience in major LNG projects (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of design standards, safety codes, and LNG facility operations
- Strong leadership & stakeholder management
- Excellent communication & influencing skills
- Advanced technical problem-solving ability
- Planning, scheduling & coordination expertise
- Proficiency in MS Office and engineering documentation
