Summary:
Formosa 4 International Investment Co. Ltd. and its subsidiary Formosa 4 Wind Power Co., Ltd. Preparatory Office (together the ‘Employer’) was awarded the development of Formosa 4 Offshore Wind Farm off the coasts of Miaoli County.
In this role, you will support the safe execution of onshore construction works (Excavation/ Civil works) and Projects HSSE deliverables and reporting requirements as required by contractual obligations and HSSE Plans.

In this role, you will support the safe execution of onshore construction works (Excavation/ Civil works) and Projects HSSE deliverables and reporting requirements as required by contractual obligations and HSSE Plans.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Planning for site hazards and emergency controls:
- Participate in risk assessment or HAZID activities related to the site (operation) as required.
Supports:
- read and familiar with relevant project HSE requirements, policies and procedures.
- Participate in required safety (awareness) induction, training and workshop.
- where applicable, provide the site (contractors) with safety training and guidance on what is needed to develop a positive attitude to hazard awareness, hazard control and maintaining a safe work site.
- Attend HSSE / functional dept safety meetings.
- Support in the organization of safety meetings, team meetings and sub contractor meetings or workshops as required.
- Support in preparation and presentation of campaign rollout and safety communication activities.
Site HSE management and emergency planning and controls.:
- Adheres to all company standards procedures and policies
- Support Lead HSE coordinator to establish HSSE reporting and administrative requirements as per Operational and Project HSSE plans
- Execute and maintain the HSE administration in the applicable (sub)systems, in line with internal procedures.
- Reviewing the (contractor's) project site operations-related procedures or RAMS.
- Support any emergency response roles such as fire warden, first aider.
Monitor and evaluate site HSE:
- Inspect jobsites and assess the presence of safety hazards.
- Observe personnel to ensure that they are working safely, controlling hazards and following relavent HSE regulations, project requirements, policies, procedures and RAMS.
- Identify work teams ability to identify and control hazards on the job.
- Ensure contractors maintain a safe worksite and keep all hazards isolated from the public.
- Ensure correct and accurate updating and reporting of stats, manhours and incidents (of contractor) etc
Site HSE improvements:
- Prepare and submit incident reports regarding HSSE related incidents by using defined standards and procedures.
- When an incident occurred; Ensure (Contractor) incidents are reported and investigated, participate in or conduct independent investigations when necessary, identify the cause and give advice, and ensure (Contractor) investigation reports are appropriate and sufficient.
- Ensure that actions arising from inspections, incidents and safety meetings are closed and recorded.
- Report long standing issues, high frequency or high potential issues.
- Notify superiors of any gaps identified.
Scope Description:
As a key member of the Synera Renewable Energy team, your role will encompass the following:

- Provide site HSE training, activities, and communication supports with adequate capabilities, knowledge, and awareness.
- Participate in (contractors) site HSE management and emergency planning and controls.
- Monitor and evaluate site HSE controls and performance.
- Follow up (contractors) incident, nonconformity and corrective action processes for site HSE improvements.
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- 5+ years as one part of HSE department
- HSSE systems experience ideally within onshore construction environment
- Awareness of ISO 45001, 14001
- Possess bi-lingual English and Mandarin communication skills, both written and verbal
- An awareness of auditing processes would be an advantage.
- Ability to cope with a high workload
- You will be capable of working under your own initiatives and to targets.
- Strong self-managing and proactive response or ask.
- Enjoys working in an international environment
- Enjoys prioritising multiple tasks and duties efficiently for oneself
- Hands-on and self-standing.
- Accurate and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
