HSE Coordinator
An HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) Coordinator ensures workplace compliance with safety regulations by developing policies, conducting audits, and managing risk to minimize incidents. They act as a liaison between employees and management to maintain a safe, injury-free, and compliant environment through training and inspection.
Key Responsibilities
Inspections & Audits: Conduct regular site walkthroughs to identify hazardous conditions, evaluate risks, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Incident Investigation: Lead investigation of injuries and property damage, identify root causes, and prepare reports.
Training & Onboarding: Develop and deliver safety training sessions and conduct safety onboarding for new hires.
Compliance Documentation: Maintain records, permits (air, water, waste), and safety documentation.
Safety Culture Promotion: Foster a positive safety culture through daily interactions, safety meetings, and implementing corrective actions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, or related field (experience may accepted in lieu of a degree).
Experience: 2-5 years of safety-related experience, often in construction or manufacturing.
Certifications: CHST ,OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, or specific industry certifications.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Soft Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Language Skills: Preference given to Mandarin speaking candidates.
