Project HSE ManagerLocation: Rotterdam, NetherlandsEmployment Type: PermanentHybrid: 3 days office / 2 days remoteWe are currently seeking an experienced Project HSE Manager to support the successful delivery of large-scale energy and infrastructure projects. This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in driving health, safety and environmental performance across complex international project environments.
As Project HSE Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that project activities are executed in accordance with applicable legislation, industry standards, client requirements and internal HSE policies. You will work closely with project teams, contractors, subcontractors and clients to promote a strong safety culture and achieve project objectives safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement and maintain project-specific HSE strategies, plans and procedures
  • Ensure HSE requirements are integrated into all phases of project execution
  • Coordinate and participate in risk assessments, HAZIDs, audits and inspections
  • Monitor project HSE performance and report on key safety indicators
  • Support incident investigations and ensure effective follow-up of corrective actions
  • Review contractor documentation and monitor compliance with project HSE requirements
  • Provide guidance and coaching to project teams and site personnel
  • Facilitate workshops, lessons learned sessions and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Act as the main HSE focal point for clients, contractors and internal stakeholders
  • Support project planning activities by identifying and mitigating potential HSE risks
Requirements
  • University degree in Engineering, Health & Safety or a related discipline
  • Several years of experience in HSE management within industrial, offshore, marine, infrastructure or construction projects
  • Strong understanding of risk management, audits, investigations and contractor management
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary and international project environments
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken
  • Eligibility to work in the Netherlands
Preferred Experience
  • Offshore, marine or offshore wind project experience
  • Experience within EPC or large infrastructure projects
  • NEBOSH certification or equivalent qualification
  • Offshore certifications such as GWO, BOSIET, FOET or HUET
