NES Fircroft are seeking an experienced onshore and offshore HSE Representative to provide day-to-day health, safety and environment leadership through site receival, fabrication and subsea installation activities. This role partners with the company representative, vessel crews, contractors and onshore HSE teams to ensure safe execution of high-risk offshore work, strong control of work, and compliance with project requirements to support the Jansz-Io Compression (J-IC) project.

The successful candidate will act as the key HSE interface across offshore and onshore teams, driving field assurance, incident reporting, emergency readiness and workforce engagement in a fast-paced marine environment; stewarding Operational Excellence and incident free operations.

Primary focus: provide visible HSE oversight and assurance for high-risk activities performed on offshore vessels and site receival locations.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Provide visible onshore and offshore HSE leadership through field presence, site verifications, toolbox talks, start-work checks and task assurance.
  • Support permit to work and control of work processes, including permit reviews, audits, SIMOPS control verification and workforce coaching.
  • Monitor high-risk activities, verify critical controls, and intervene where unsafe conditions or deviations are identified.
  • Coordinate incident, near-miss and flash reporting, support investigations, and track corrective actions to closure.
  • Support emergency preparedness, drills, communications checks, inspections, audits, inductions and ongoing workforce engagement.
What You Bring
  • Experience in offshore oil and gas, marine operations, commissioning, or other high-risk environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of HSE systems, permit to work, incident reporting, audits and assurance activities.
  • Confidence engaging with frontline crews, supervisors, contractors and onshore stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, coaching and report-writing skills.
  • Knowledge of Human and Organisational Performance Principles and applicability.
  • Offshore experience is preferred.

 This position will be Perth based until September 2026 when it will transition to an offshore roster until March 2027. There will be travel to Henderson for site visits during the initial engagement.
