Job Description: Instrument / Fire & Gas (F&G) Engineering Specialist
Job Purpose
Provide technical support and advisory for Instrumentation and Fire & Gas (F&G) systems during EPC and startup phases, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations prior to asset handover.

Job Purpose
Provide technical support and advisory for Instrumentation and Fire & Gas (F&G) systems during EPC and startup phases, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations prior to asset handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Support design reviews (SIL, HAZOP), commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting of Instrument and F&G systems.
- Develop and implement surveillance programs for critical systems to ensure reliability, availability, and cybersecurity.
- Review and improve system performance, recommending best practices and enhancements.
- Plan and execute engineering activities in line with project KPIs.
- Provide technical support across disciplines and supervise contractors and vendors.
- Support project tie-ins and ensure smooth system integration.
- Maintain issue registers and mitigate risks affecting project performance.
- Assist in high-risk commissioning, system tuning, and optimization.
- Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in oil & gas or similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of DCS, PLCs, ESD/F&G systems, metering, anti-surge control, and turbomachinery control systems.
- Understanding of SIL requirements and safety systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and make critical decisions.
- Good communication and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in tools such as MS Office, SAP, and instrumentation software.
