Lead Expeditor – Drive Project Success in Oil & Gas Supply Chain

Are you a seasoned expediting professional with a passion for keeping complex projects on track?

Join our client as a Lead Expeditor based in Rotterdam, where you’ll lead a dynamic team to ensure the timely delivery of critical materials and equipment for major Oil & Gas EPC projects.

Your expertise in coordinating with suppliers, monitoring shipment schedules, and anticipating challenges will be pivotal in driving operational excellence and project success.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Minimum 7+ years of expediting experience within Oil & Gas, covering mechanical rotating, static equipment, mooring/marine equipment, and miscellaneous material disciplines.
  • Proven track record of working on EPC projects and hands-on experience in field expediting.
  • Strong skills in vendor coordination, shipment follow-up, documentation review, and expediting analytics.
  • Ability to lead, guide, and motivate expediting teams while ensuring alignment with project execution plans and stakeholder expectations.
  • Proficiency with Material Management Systems and expertise in maintaining transparent, up-to-date expediting documentation and reporting.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multicultural teams.
Nice to Have:

  • Experience in manufacturing, planning, or engineering environments.
  • Familiarity with logistics, quality control plans, inspection, testing, and commissioning in Oil & Gas projects.
  • Strong negotiation skills and third-party relationship management experience.
  • Exposure to package and purchase order management within large-scale EPC projects.
Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering or related field).
  • Extensive background in leading expediting activities within complex Oil & Gas environments.
  • Demonstrated experience working in multicultural and cross-functional project teams.
Other Requirements:

  • Location: Rotterdam, Netherlands — able to work 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.
  • Residence in the Netherlands is required.
  • Ability to participate in field visits as needed.
  • Availability starting September 2026.
