Job Description / Major Duties
  • Provide strategic leadership to the Inspection & Corrosion function, setting departmental standards, workplans, and priorities to ensure the highest standards of asset integrity across operating facilities.
  • Ensure robust systems, processes, and governance are in place to manage inspection and corrosion risks across production and processing infrastructure.
  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend new technologies and practices applicable to corrosion management and asset integrity.
  • Optimise inspection and contracting strategies to ensure best practice delivery, technical compliance, and cost efficiency.
  • Oversee and optimise corrosion inhibition and chemical treatment programmes across all relevant infrastructure.
  • Capture lessons learned and ensure these are systematically implemented across inspection and corrosion activities.
  • Promote and disseminate best practices in corrosion management and inspection throughout the organisation.
  • Lead planning and scheduling of inspection and corrosion activities associated with shutdowns, turnarounds, and major maintenance events.
  • Analyse corrosion and inspection data to identify trends, integrity risks, and mitigation opportunities.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis for all inspection and corrosion-related activities.
  • Manage specialist service providers and contractors, monitoring performance, quality, HSE compliance, and adherence to company standards.
  • Provide technical input into chemical hazard assessments and integrity-related studies as required.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a risk-based inspection (RBI) programme in line with recognised international standards (e.g. API 580 / 581).
  • Develop and maintain leak prevention and control programmes across operating assets.
  • Ensure equipment and facilities comply with applicable local regulatory inspection and integrity requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Physics, or a closely related discipline.
  • Demonstrable project management capability within technical or asset integrity environments.
  • Strong ability to manage, analyse, and interpret large volumes of inspection and corrosion data, producing clear recommendations for senior management.
  • Extensive experience managing inspection and corrosion challenges within operating oil & gas or process facilities.
  • Proven experience using corrosion management and inspection software systems.
  • Strong track record in the design, implementation, monitoring, and optimisation of large-scale inspection, chemical treatment, and corrosion management programmes.
  • Fluency in English is essential; additional languages are advantageous.
