Job Summary The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling, inspecting, and supporting the production of mechanical systems used in gas turbines. This role ensures all components and assemblies meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements in a manufacturing and shop environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble mechanical components such as valves, flanges and skids.
  • Interpret and follow engineering drawings, assembly instructions, and technical documentation
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to complete assemblies accurately
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections during and after assembly to ensure product quality and compliance with specifications
  • Identify, document, and report assembly issues, defects, or deviations from drawings
  • Assist with troubleshooting and rework as required
  • Maintain accurate build records and related documentation
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment
  • Safely handle mechanical components and materials in an industrial shop setting
  • Collaborate with team members, inspectors, and engineers to meet production schedules and quality objectives
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on assembly experience
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
  • Ability to safely lift and move components up to approximately 50 lbs
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of mechanical assembly experience in industrial, manufacturing, or equipment‑build environments
  • Technical, vocational, or trade school training in mechanical or industrial fields
  • Experience with tubing, fittings, and skid-mounted equipment
  • Knowledge of torque specs and tread sealant and lubricant.
Work Environment
  • Manufacturing and assembly shop environment (climate controlled)
  • Exposure to machinery, tools, and mechanical components
  • Emphasis on safety, quality, and attention to detail
