Mechanical BIM QA/QC  Overview An opportunity is available for a Mechanical BIM QA/QC professional to support a growing portfolio of large-scale engineering and construction projects across multiple sectors, including energy, power, renewables, pharmaceuticals, food & beverage, and data centres.

This role will focus on ensuring quality, consistency, and coordination of BIM deliverables within a fast-paced project environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and validate 2D schematic to 3D model conversions
  • Ensure compliance with BIM modelling standards and identify clashes
  • Carry out 3D coordination of Asset Information Models
  • Produce visual outputs and images to support clash detection reports
  • Support the development of as-built documentation
  • Adhere to document control procedures and workflows
  • Provide regular progress updates to the Project Manager
  • Attend project meetings and interface with stakeholders as required
Candidate Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years’ relevant mechanical experience or trade background (e.g., Pipefitter/Plumber)
  • Proficiency in Autodesk software and BIM tools
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and methodologies
  • Experience with AutoCAD service drawings
  • Working knowledge of:
    • AutoCAD
    • Navisworks
    • Plant 3D
    • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
  • Effective team collaboration and communication skills
