Location: El Merk, Algeria
Work Schedule: 28/28 Rotation, 12-hour shifts in desert conditions
Duration : 12 Months Renewable contract

Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical oversight and engineering support for preventive and corrective maintenance activities at the ELM Central Production Facility.
- Ensure long‑term reliability and availability of static and rotating equipment across the facility.
- Monitor and track contractor activities during maintenance of mechanical equipment and machinery.
- Identify reliability and availability issues and develop improvement plans.
- Review vibration monitoring data and MMS system information for major rotating equipment and recommend corrective actions and long‑term improvements.
- Support shutdown and major maintenance preparation activities related to mechanical maintenance.
- Provide technical leadership in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs for compressors, turbines, pumps, and other industrial mechanical systems.
- Support planning and review of spare parts availability for mechanical equipment.
- Provide input, support, and approval during design, engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, inspection, testing, installation, commissioning, and start‑up activities.
- Mentor and support the development of junior mechanical engineers and technicians.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in engineering and/or construction of large petrochemical, oil, or gas production facilities.
- Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance for industrial mechanical and rotating equipment.
- Proven ability to interpret vibration analysis and reports from precision‑measuring devices and perform precision alignment.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, MFDs, PFDs, P&IDs, and other complex technical diagrams.
- In‑depth knowledge of plant maintenance procedures and mechanical equipment diagnostics.
- Experience with Non‑Destructive Testing (NDT) techniques is preferred.
- Commissioning and pre‑commissioning experience is an advantage.
