- Promote and reinforce HSE policies, procedures, and safety culture across offshore project activities.
- Act as the primary HSE focal point on site, ensuring compliance with project HSE objectives and standards.
- Supervise and monitor contractor HSE performance, ensuring adherence to contractual HSE requirements and regulatory standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and HSE assessments, ensuring timely closure of identified gaps.
- Ensure effective implementation of Permit-to-Work systems, including high-risk activities such as SIMOPS, hot work, confined space entry, lifting operations, and isolations.
- Lead and participate in HSE meetings, toolbox talks, trainings, and awareness sessions for workforce engagement.
- Provide visible leadership onsite by promoting "walk the talk" safety behavior and proactive intervention.
- Identify HSE deviations, unsafe practices, and non-compliances, and escalate to management with corrective actions.
- Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and ensure implementation and follow-up of corrective/preventive actions.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure alignment with overall HSE objectives and safe execution of activities.
- Review and provide input on HSE aspects of construction and operational documentation.
- Support continuous improvement through lessons learned, HSE performance tracking, and reporting.
- Ensure readiness for internal and external audits, including compliance with ISO standards and project requirements.
- Participate in offshore operations with flexibility to support onshore activities as required.
- Minimum 15+ years of HSE experience in oil & gas, construction, or offshore environments.
- Proven experience in offshore projects, including EPC phases and high-risk operations.
- Strong knowledge of HSE management systems aligned with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
- Demonstrated experience in contractor HSE management, audits, and compliance monitoring.
- In-depth understanding of permit-to-work systems, SIMOPS, and offshore safety requirements.
- Experience in incident investigation techniques and root cause analysis methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of environmental compliance, monitoring, and offshore regulatory requirements.
- Ability to analyze HSE KPIs, trends, and drive performance improvement initiatives.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant HSE certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent.
- Offshore safety certifications (e.g., BOSIET, H2S, CA-EBS) preferred.
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment and influence safety culture across teams.
