Offshore Inspector – EPC & Startup Phase
Location: Qatar - Raslaffan
Contract: 2-Year Initial (Extendable) | Oil & Gas / LNG

Work Schedule & Setup
  • 8–10 Hours per Day
  • Sunday to Thursday
  • Rotation: 12 Weeks ON / 2 Weeks OFF (Single Status)
Experience: 4+ Years
Qualification: HND in Engineering

Job Purpose
We are seeking a skilled Offshore Inspector to execute and support inspection activities during the EPC and Startup phases through to facility handover. The role ensures safe, efficient, and reliable operations through early defect detection and adherence to company standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct external visual inspections along with NDT examinations on vessels, boilers, piping, heat exchangers, and lifting equipment.
  • Perform integrity assessments of static equipment and piping using tools like Meridium and generate detailed reports.
  • Inspect maintenance and capital project work for compliance with welding, fabrication, painting, and installation standards.
  • Carry out or supervise various NDT techniques including:
    • UT, MT, PT, RT
    • Eddy Current, IRIS, Thermography
    • PMI, Metallography, Boroscopy
  • Raise inspection recommendations and track them through SAP/Meridium until closure.
  • Ensure inspection tools and equipment are maintained and calibrated.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation.
  • Supervise contractors and ensure compliance with company standards and quality requirements.
  • Support additional inspection activities assigned by senior engineers.

Requirements
  • Minimum 4 years of in-service inspection experience
  • Certification: API 510 / API 570 (mandatory), API 653 (preferred)
  • Knowledge of:
    • Risk-Based Inspection (RBI)
    • Corrosion & damage mechanisms
    • International codes & standards
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and inspection software (Meridium or similar)
  • Strong English communication skills (written & verbal)
Technical Skills
  • Hands-on experience in advanced NDT techniques
  • Understanding of plant processes and materials
  • Ability to interpret inspection findings and provide actionable recommendations
