The Planning Engineer is a core executive member of the project controls team, responsible for the daily maintenance, updating, reporting, and data analysis of the project schedule. This role provides timely and accurate planning information support to the project team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Schedule Maintenance & Updates
  • Perform daily data entry, maintenance, updating, revision, and modification of the project schedule using Primavera P6 software.
  • Responsible for the specific preparation, data consolidation, and organization of project weekly reports, monthly reports, and related attachments.
  • Organize and coordinate the monthly progress update of the P6 schedule, including generating visual charts such as S-Curves and Look-Ahead Plans.
2. Reporting Support & Meeting Participation
  • Prepare presentation slides for project weekly, monthly, and various specialized review meetings, and assist in presenting them during meetings.
  • Provide necessary planning inputs for reports prepared by other project departments (e.g., HSE, Quality, Construction).
  • Participate in weekly meetings of various project departments, specialized meetings, and daily construction site meetings, providing professional planning support.
3. Progress Analysis & Schedule Integration
  • Assist in project progress analysis and participate in the integration of Level 2 and Level 3 project schedules.
  • Participate in the revision of the project schedule and related system documents during the project's initial phase and throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Responsible for collecting, processing, and disseminating daily construction reports from various departments.
4. Communication, Coordination & Early Warning
  • Conduct daily communication and coordination with various project departments regarding planning-related issues and acceleration measures, tracking the implementation of these measures.
  • Responsible for drafting and issuing progress delay warning letters to the client.
  • Attend weekly progress validation meetings, clearly presenting the progress calculation process and results to the client.
5. Support for Change & Risk Management
  • Participate in project change management, specifically handling the planning aspects, analyzing delays, and assisting in the preparation of delay reports.
  • Assist in coordinating and participating in risk management activities related to the project planning function.
  • Fulfill other tasks assigned by the Control Manager and Planning Manager.

Qualifications:
 
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or a related management field
  • Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office software suite.
  • Experience with Middle East offshore/FPSO projects would be highly preferred
