PMC Scheduling Engineer
Position Title: PMC Scheduling Engineer
Location: Seoul, Republic of Korea
Project Type: Aramco Refinery / Oil & Gas – PMC
Contract Type: 12 months assignment
Role Overview
The PMC Scheduling Engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring the overall project schedule for the projects. The role ensures that engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities are properly planned, tracked, and reported in alignment with project objectives, client requirements, and PMC standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the Integrated Project Schedule (IPS) using Primavera P6.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to gather schedule inputs and updates.
- Monitor project progress and identify schedule deviations, risks, and potential delays.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, including S‑curves, histograms, and critical path analysis.
- Conduct schedule risk assessments and propose mitigation strategies.
- Review contractor schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), and progress measurement systems.
- Ensure alignment with SASREF project controls procedures and PMC reporting requirements.
- Participate in progress review meetings with the client, contractors, and internal PMC teams.
- Validate contractor progress claims and support the project controls team in forecasting.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure schedule baselines are properly controlled.
- Support change management by assessing schedule impacts of variations and change orders.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in project scheduling within the oil & gas or refinery sector.
- Previous experience in PMC or EPC environments is highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and project controls tools.
- Solid understanding of engineering, procurement, and construction workflows.
- Experience working on Saudi Aramco projects is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
