The Role

Translate projected forecasts, incoming volume, and work scopes into a production plan with a time-phased schedule. Manage the logistics of materials and inventory for production cell. Assemble schedule reporting regarding the shipment plan, the inventory plan, and the production plan. Identify current planned level of demand and create tactical production plans to meet the identified customer demand. Manage load levelling and bottleneck scheduling and utilize theory of constraints (TOC) for more accurate scheduling. Analyse production floor status through input/output control reporting. Schedule supply based on the product mix and provide accurate commitment dates to customer service team across multiple product lines. Calculates and maintains PTP levels, lead-time, and replenishment strategies. 

Responsibilities 
  • The creation of production plans for Flexo and Extrusion Machines and Assembly Department
  • Works order release and placing orders with external suppliers
  • Establishes and shares best practices for operations planning, inventory management and resource management
  • Work with customer service to provide appropriate delivery dates
  • Calculate production lead times
  • Works closely with production Supervisors and shift leaders to optimise production efficiency through SMART planning
  • Attends daily production meetings for area’s of responsibility
  • Analyze back orders, current orders and upcoming orders to priorities, plan, and schedule the production
  • Monitor Adherence to Schedule for areas of responsibility.
  • Monitor raw material and outsourced component stocks managing OTD for your components

Essential Skills

- Minimum 2-year planning experience in manufacturing
- IT Skills for data entry, analysis & reporting
- Excellent Excel knowledge
- Experience of ERP systems

Desirable Skills

- Previous experience of machine shop planning
- SAP4 Experience*This role is an initial contract position, with the possbility of becoming a permenant position*
