Overview
NES Fircroft is supporting a leading international energy operator in the delivery of a major offshore development project. We are seeking an experienced Project Construction Manager to oversee construction execution, ensuring delivery aligns with safety, schedule, quality, and cost objectives.
This is a key leadership role responsible for managing complex construction activities across multiple workstreams and contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all on-site and yard-based construction activities through to offshore installation and commissioning
- Ensure full compliance with HSE standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate EPC contractors and subcontractors to ensure efficient execution and alignment with project milestones
- Drive construction planning, sequencing, and work packaging strategies
- Monitor progress against schedule, proactively identifying and mitigating risks and delays
- Manage interfaces between engineering, procurement, and construction teams
- Oversee quality assurance and control processes across all construction scopes
- Support commissioning and handover activities to operations
- Provide regular reporting to senior project stakeholders
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in construction management within offshore oil & gas or large-scale energy projects
- Proven experience managing EPC contractors on complex projects
- Strong background in fabrication yard and offshore installation activities
- Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder management capability
- Solid understanding of international codes, standards, and best practices
- Experience working in multicultural, multi-location project environments
Desirable Skills
- Previous involvement in FPSO, offshore platform, or heavy lift projects
- Experience in large-scale greenfield developments
- Strong commercial awareness, contract management, and project management exposure
