NES Fircroft are looking an experienced Project Controls professional to support onshore construction activities on a major oil & gas development. This role will provide comprehensive coordination across project controls functions, ensuring effective reporting, cost management, risk mitigation, and schedule alignment across site activities.

Key Responsibilities
You will provide broad Project Controls coordination and support across the following areas:
- Reporting project progress, including status updates, cost opportunities and risks, and change management
- Coordinating change management processes related to site construction activities
- Supporting and coordinating risk management processes
- Verifying EPC Contractor construction progress, invoicing, and Project Controls deliverables
- Assisting onshore planning teams in coordinating schedule interfaces across construction, engineering, procurement, and fabrication activities
- Supporting the project cost function in developing and maintaining accurate cost forecasts
- Preparing and supporting presentations and reports relevant to site and project activities
- Providing general support to Onshore Project Services and Site Management teams
- The role is based in Afungi, a highly remote location in Northern Mozambique
- Infrastructure and communications can be unreliable
- The site operates under mitigation measures for:
- Malaria risk
- Security considerations
- Candidates must be comfortable working in a challenging and remote environment
- Deliver accurate and consistent Project Controls tools, reports, and outputs
- Support Site Construction Management and senior stakeholders
- Provide broader support to the Onshore Project Management Team (PMT) and Project Controls function
- Education: Degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related discipline
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Project Controls within major oil & gas projects
- Strong knowledge of large-scale project development environments
- Experience with partner and government reporting interfaces
- Strong organisational skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Expertise in:
- Cost engineering principles
- Planning and scheduling methodologies
- Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams in a complex project environment
