An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Director to lead the successful delivery of a major Data Centre project in Berlin, Germany.
This is a pivotal leadership role, offering the chance to take full ownership of a high-value, technically complex project from delivery through to successful completion. You will be responsible for leading multidisciplinary teams, building strong client relationships, and ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This opportunity is ideally suited to an accomplished Project Director or Senior Project Manager with a proven track record of delivering large-scale Mechanical and Electrical projects within the Data Centre, Pharmaceutical, Industrial, or Mission Critical sectors.
The Opportunity As Project Director, you will provide strategic leadership across all aspects of project delivery, overseeing Engineering, Commercial, Construction and subcontractor teams to ensure successful execution.
Working closely with senior leadership, you will be responsible for driving operational performance, maintaining strong commercial awareness, and ensuring exceptional client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
You will play a key role in creating a collaborative, high-performing project environment while championing safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of a major Data Centre project from mobilisation through to final handover.
- Provide leadership and direction to multidisciplinary project teams, including Engineering, Commercial, Construction and subcontract partners.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with the client, acting as the senior point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
- Work closely with senior operational leadership to develop project staffing plans and support recruitment strategies for both permanent staff and site operatives.
- Monitor project performance, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity and commercial outcomes.
- Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement across the project team.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, company procedures and all relevant Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards.
- Manage project risks proactively while supporting effective planning and decision-making throughout delivery.
- Provide regular progress updates, commercial reporting and strategic project reviews to senior stakeholders.
You will have:
- An Electrical Trade qualification through apprenticeship or a Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Significant experience successfully leading large-scale Mechanical & Electrical or multidisciplinary construction projects from inception through to completion.
- Previous experience delivering Data Centre, Mission Critical, Pharmaceutical or Industrial projects would be highly advantageous.
- Proven ability to lead, develop and motivate multidisciplinary project teams.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing project budgets, resources and programme delivery.
- A collaborative leadership style with excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence across project teams.
- Knowledge of BIM technologies and modern construction methodologies would be beneficial.
- Excellent understanding of engineering best practice, project governance and risk management.
