Project Engineer – Aberdeen
Our client, a gas turbine repair and overhaul company, are seeking a Project Engineer to join the team on a staff basis. The successful candidate will be based at Dyce, Aberdeen and will have the option to work under their hybrid model, reporting to the Senior Project Engineer.
Role Description
This position occupies a vital role in the day-to-day operation of our business as the primary interface between us and the customer, ensuring the requirements of our clients are satisfied during the provision of our OEM approved aftermarket services whilst maintaining Company financial and technical deliverables. This position is best suited to a dynamic and motivated individual due to the varied and fast paced nature of the role.

Our client, a gas turbine repair and overhaul company, are seeking a Project Engineer to join the team on a staff basis. The successful candidate will be based at Dyce, Aberdeen and will have the option to work under their hybrid model, reporting to the Senior Project Engineer.
Role Description
This position occupies a vital role in the day-to-day operation of our business as the primary interface between us and the customer, ensuring the requirements of our clients are satisfied during the provision of our OEM approved aftermarket services whilst maintaining Company financial and technical deliverables. This position is best suited to a dynamic and motivated individual due to the varied and fast paced nature of the role.
An overview of your day
- Building relationships with key personnel within your customer base and acting as primary point of contact.
- Full management of industrial gas turbines through their repair and overhaul cycle including planning, execution, after care and technical support.
- Management of workscopes and contracts to maximise returns and meet/exceed companies financial targets.
- Interfacing with internal business groups as required to fulfil customer and company requirements.
- Satisfying customer and company technical, financial and QHSE requirements.
- Contributing to RWG's business retention and growth through compilation of tender responses and leading customer meetings both on and offsite.
- Reviewing and negotiating terms of business and price proposals in line with company guidelines.
- Working to critical deadlines, agreeing schedules and progressing work in accordance with customer and company expectations and providing updates as required.
- Interpretation and compilation of financial and technical documents associated with the provision of services.
What we need from you
- Apprenticeship or Engineering qualification required with post-apprenticeship experience preferred.
- Technical knowledge of aero derivative gas turbines is preferred, however not essential.
- Customer facing experience in a similar role is advantageous.
- Computer literacy and experience in the use of applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook applications is essential.
- Good written and verbal communication skills for internal and external interactions.
- Ability to translate technical requirements into operational instructions.
- Good working knowledge of commercial contracts is desirable.
- Ability to work flexibly and diligently as an individual and as part of Project Team.
- Applicants should also hold a valid Driving Licence and Passport as ad-hoc domestic and overseas travel will be required.
