About the Role - We are seeking an experienced Project Hydrogeologist to provide critical operational hydrogeological support across a number of large-scale mining operations. This is a hands-on, site-based role focused on ensuring safe, reliable and compliant water supply, borefield performance, and mine dewatering activities.
Reporting to the Senior Hydrogeologist, you will act as the key interface between site operations and the broader hydro team, delivering high-quality field data, identifying emerging risks, and supporting operational decision-making.

About the Role - We are seeking an experienced Project Hydrogeologist to provide critical operational hydrogeological support across a number of large-scale mining operations. This is a hands-on, site-based role focused on ensuring safe, reliable and compliant water supply, borefield performance, and mine dewatering activities.
Reporting to the Senior Hydrogeologist, you will act as the key interface between site operations and the broader hydro team, delivering high-quality field data, identifying emerging risks, and supporting operational decision-making.
- FIFO Perth or pre-arranged flights from Brisbane
- 8:6 roster
- Short term contract with possible Temp-Perm option
Borefield & Dewatering Operations
- Monitor borefield performance, water levels, flows and utilisation
- Identify and escalate operational issues early with recommendations
- Support short-term water planning and operational strategies
- Collect and QA/QC groundwater data (levels, flow, quality)
- Maintain telemetry systems, loggers and SCADA data integrity
- Manage bore databases and GIS datasets
- Conduct routine dips, inspections and infrastructure checks
- Support pit seepage monitoring and hydro observations
- Assist with downhole camera inspections
- Support drilling campaigns and aquifer testing
- Coordinate contractors and capture high-quality field data
- Assist with bore design inputs and field planning
- Support groundwater modelling inputs and interpretation
- Assist with compliance reporting, TARPs and risk identification
- Contribute to annual aquifer reviews and regulatory submissions
Key requirements:
- Degree in Hydrogeology, Geology or related discipline
- Experience in mine dewatering, borefields or groundwater monitoring
- Strong understanding of SCADA, telemetry and field instrumentation
- Experience supporting drilling and aquifer testing programs
- Key role driving operational water performance on site
- Exposure to large-scale mining and hydrogeological systems
- Collaborative environment with strong technical support
- FIFO flexibility with Perth or Brisbane travel options
