Regional Sales Manager

About the role

Our client is currently hiring a Regional Sales Manager to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for promotion of the products and services to existing customers and new prospects within Europe, Middle East and Africa. This is hybrid role, based out of their facilities in Dyce, Aberdeen.

An overview of your day
 
  • Securing budgeted sales for products and services within the defined territory.
  • Gathering market intelligence including:
Customer insight to identify changes in demand or merging needs
Competitor activity likely to impact prospects
Macro trends and/or technologies that could disrupt the market.
  • Establishing longterm relationships with strategic customers, ensuring a contractual backlog of business is maintained within the defined territory.
  • Visit customers and prospects to crosssell and up-sell value added services, explaining customer benefits and differentiating from the competition.
  • Communicate with all stakeholders to ensure that customer are well informed, realistic expectations set and internal business execution is positioned to meet customer needs.
  • Providing accurate forecasting of service demand, revenues and timing to ensure efficient and effective business planning.
  • Undertake other duties as may be reasonably required to meet the needs of the business.

What we need from you
 
  • Engineering Degree or equivalent experience, with demonstrated competence to articulate and deliver complex maintenance services.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role in the defined territory, selling engineering solutions and/or aftermarket services.
  • Evidence of key account management and success in achieving sales growth in a competitive environment.
  • Demonstrate that you are selfmotivated and a team player, able to lead or support new initiatives or product introductions.
  • The ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • The ability to listen carefully to a customer's need, confirm understanding and identify how can add value to the relationship.
  • Able to present a vision both internally and externally of the value proposition offered by services and the unique selling points that provide differentiation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding of CRM tools and relational databases for collation and analysis of customer information.
  • Fluent in English and at least one other language commonly used within the defined territory.
  • Good knowledge of ERP systems.
  • Basic knowledge in Microsoft applications; Excel, word, outlook.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Possess a proactive attitude to planning.
