Job Role: Revenue Accountant
Work Location: London
 
Purpose of Role:  
•    Deliver accurate and timely revenue information for Corporate entities

Areas of Accountability, Responsibility and Competence:    
Direct Revenue Support:
•    Ensure complete and accurate accounting and reporting of hydrocarbon revenue
•    Ensure all invoices are prepared and issued correctly and timely to enable timely cash recovery
•    Confirm self-bill invoices are consistent with expectations and recorded in the Finance System
•    Support the Intercompany invoicing process between BU’s and Corporate
•    Ensure account reconciliations and variance analysis support an appropriate control environment and provide clear management reporting
•    Manage and prepare monthly accounting and reporting to ensure adherence to accounting policies, best practices, and industry recommendations.
•    Continuously improve and enhance accounting and reporting practices
•    Assist in the development of business intelligence reporting systems, driving automation wherever possible.
•    Deliver weekly cash forecast to Treasury on receipts/payments
•    Support Tax team with PRT returns.
•    Contribute to the annual budget and planning process with business and functions.
•    Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders.

Other Activities:
•    Support company initiatives such as EMS as required.
•    Perform any other reasonable duty as instructed by the manager.
•    Support external audit process.
•    Work closely with other functions to ensure effective relationships and business delivery.
 
Critical Skills*, Qualifications, Experience, etc.:
•    Degree qualified with a recognised accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) – Essential
•    Strong experience in revenue and production accounting in upstream oil and gas – Essential
•    UK North Sea experience – Essential
•    Excellent accounting track record – Essential
•    Strong analytical skills – Essential
•    Experience with financial systems – Essential
•    Proficiency in MS Office – Essential
•    Excellent interpersonal skills across all levels – Essential
•    Strong focus on service delivery and flexibility in a changing environment – Essential
•    Ability to deliver high-quality work under time pressure – Essential
