Job Description – Planning & Risk Coordinator
Phase: Engineering (FEED / Detailed Engineering)
Location: Seoul, Republic of Korea
Type: Full-time resident Contract


Position Overview
The Planning & Risk Coordinator will support the engineering phase of Project by developing, maintaining, and monitoring the integrated project schedule and risk management framework. This role ensures that engineering deliverables, procurement activities, interface milestones, and contractor commitments are aligned with project objectives and client requirements. The engineer will work closely with engineering disciplines, project controls, procurement, and the client to ensure predictable project performance.

Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Scheduling
- Develop and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for the engineering phase using Primavera P6.
- Coordinate with engineering discipline leads to define deliverable lists, man‑hour plans, and progress measurement systems.
- Track progress against baseline schedules and identify variances, delays, and recovery opportunities.
- Prepare weekly and monthly schedule reports, including S‑curves, critical path analysis, and look‑ahead plans.
- Support interface planning between Client, EPC, vendors, and subcontractors.

2. Risk Management
- Establish and maintain the project risk register covering engineering, procurement, interface, and execution risks.
- Facilitate risk identification workshops with engineering teams and stakeholders.
- Perform qualitative and quantitative risk analysis to assess schedule and cost exposure.
- Recommend mitigation strategies and track the implementation of risk response actions.
- Provide risk-adjusted schedule forecasts and scenario planning to support decision‑making.

3. Engineering Phase Controls & Reporting
- Support development of the Project Controls Plan for the engineering phase.
- Monitor engineering deliverable progress and ensure alignment with client stage‑gate requirements.
- Coordinate with procurement to integrate vendor data schedules and long‑lead item timelines.
- Prepare dashboards and KPIs for internal management and client reporting.

4. Stakeholder Coordination
- Work closely with engineering managers, discipline leads, and project management to ensure schedule accuracy.
- Participate in weekly engineering coordination meetings and client progress reviews.
- Support change management by assessing schedule impacts of change requests, design revisions, and scope growth.
- Interface with external stakeholders involved in seawater intake, pipeline, pumping station, and utility system design.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
- 13+ years of experience in project planning, scheduling, and risk management within oil & gas, water infrastructure, or EPC projects.
- Strong proficiency in Primavera P6, risk analysis tools (e.g., Primavera Risk Analysis), and MS Office.
- Experience working on large-scale utility or water supply projects preferred.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
