Role Summary
This position focuses on building and growing market share within the toolmaking and precision machining sectors. The Sales Engineer will develop strong relationships with toolmakers, process engineers, and manufacturers of carbide, diamond, and CBN tools across Southeast Asia.
The role’s objective is to position the organization as a preferred solutions partner for toolmakers by driving adoption of hard and super‑hard materials in cutting, grinding, and wear part applications.

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Sales Engineer is responsible for managing the full sales cycle within the toolmaking segment, including carbide cutter manufacturing, PCD/CBN tool production, and precision machining.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing sales plans aligned with the toolmaker market to achieve sales targets
- Identifying opportunities to integrate advanced materials into tool design, re‑sharpening, and toolmaking processes
- Building and maintaining long‑term partnerships with toolmakers, machine shops, and process engineers
- Providing technical guidance and customized solutions to improve tool life, productivity, and cost efficiency
- Visiting customers regularly and attending trade shows to stay current on industry trends
- Managing accounts receivable by monitoring overdue accounts and maintaining direct customer communication
- Preparing and delivering technical presentations to toolmakers, OEMs, and end users
- Coordinating internally to ensure orders and solutions are delivered on time and to specification
- Maintaining up‑to‑date knowledge of products, applications, and the competitive landscape
- Trade or engineering background with strong technical aptitude in toolmaking, machining, or process engineering
- Minimum 4 years of experience in technical sales
- At least 3 years of experience in the toolmaking, carbide, CBN, or diamond tool industry preferred
- Solid understanding of machining processes, cutting tool applications, and wear part solutions
- Engineering background in Mechanical or Materials Technology is highly regarded
- Strong commitment to improving customer productivity through value‑based selling
- Excellent sales data analysis and computer skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Legal right to work in the country of employment
