Senior Angular Design Systems Engineer – 12 Months Contract – Paris

Hybrid 3 days on site 2 days remote

Start Date- 17th August 2026

Required:-  Angular (essential), TypeScript (essential), JavaScript (essential), CSS/SCSS (essential), Storybook (essential), Nx (bonus)

Must be able to speak fluent French with a good command of English

You will work closely with designers, engineers, & the Design System Lead to evolve my client’s Angular component library, strengthen its technical foundations, & drive adoption across teams. Your work will contribute to delivering a consistent, accessible, & high-quality user experience throughout my client’s digital ecosystem.

Senior Angular Design System Engineer Responsibilities
 
  • Define & evolve the technical roadmap of the Design System.
  • Collaborate with designers to translate Figma components & design tokens into reliable, reusable Angular components.
  • Make architectural decisions that ensure scalability, maintainability, & accessibility.
  • Develop, document, & maintain components with clear API design & robust test coverage.
  • Manage & optimize build & deployment pipelines using Nx, NPM, & GitHub Actions.
  • Write internal documentation, facilitate workshops, & support teams in integrating the design system.
  • Partner with multiple teams to ensure compatibility across diverse use cases, platforms, & technologies.
Senior Angular Design Systems Engineer Qualifications 
  • Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS/SCSS, & Angular.
  • Proven expertise in packaging & distributing high-performance NPM packages.
  • Experience building & maintaining large-scale component libraries.
  • Solid understanding of design tokens, theming systems, & scalable CSS architectures.
  • Deep knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) & testing best practices.
  • Ability to mentor peers, promote clean architecture principles, & bridge the gap between design & engineering.
  • Excellent communication & collaboration skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills

Proficiency in React &/or React Native for future implementations. Experience with multi-brand or multi-theme architectures. Knowledge of automated token pipelines & design-to-code synchronization. Contributions to open-source projects or internal developer communities. Experience working within large-scale product ecosystems. Knowledge of Python, Terraform, & AWS is considered a plus.
