Role Purpose As a Senior Buyer, you will play a critical role in supporting project and operational execution by ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials, equipment, and services. You will lead key sourcing and contracting activities, negotiate commercial terms, and work closely with internal stakeholders to meet project schedules, budgets, and compliance requirements.
This role combines strategic procurement leadership with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.

Role Purpose As a Senior Buyer, you will play a critical role in supporting project and operational execution by ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials, equipment, and services. You will lead key sourcing and contracting activities, negotiate commercial terms, and work closely with internal stakeholders to meet project schedules, budgets, and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities Procurement Strategy & Planning
- Develop, implement, and lead procurement plans aligned with project requirements, timelines, and budget constraints.
- Anticipate procurement risks and define mitigation strategies to ensure uninterrupted project execution.
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers in alignment with Category Management strategies.
- Ensure suppliers meet quality, cost, delivery, and compliance standards.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term supplier relationships.
- Lead contract negotiations for critical and high-value packages.
- Secure favorable commercial terms while managing contractual and commercial risk.
- Align closely with Category Management and legal teams as required.
- Issue, manage, and follow up on purchase orders in accordance with company procedures and project specifications.
- Ensure accuracy, compliance, and on-time delivery of all procured goods and services.
- Ensure procurement activities remain within approved budgets.
- Identify and deliver cost-saving and value-improvement opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with industry regulations, internal policies, and HSE standards.
- Maintain full auditability and documentation across all procurement activities.
- Provide clear and regular updates to project managers and key stakeholders on procurement status, risks, and mitigation actions.
- Support project teams with timely and accurate procurement reporting.
- Mentor, guide, and support a team of buyers.
- Monitor performance and provide hands-on assistance where needed to ensure successful delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 10+ years of procurement experience, preferably within the oil & gas industry.
- Proven expertise in contract negotiation and commercial management.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- High proficiency with procurement systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and reporting capabilities.
- Solid understanding of industry regulations, compliance, and governance.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, project environment.
