NES Fircroft is recruiting a Senior Commissioning Specialist for a tier one mining organisation, delivering a diverse portfolio of operational, major capital, decarbonisation and green energy projects.
This role suits a strong technical commissioning professional from a mining or oil & gas background. You are process driven and detail oriented, with a strong focus on front end planning and readiness for energisation, commissioning and handover, rather than site execution.

Benefits:
- Location: Perth CBD
- Contract: 12 months (likelihood of extension through to 2030)
- Rate: Up to $130 per hour + superannuation
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 9 hours per day
- Other benefits: Fortnightly pay, contractor EAP support, dedicated NES Fircroft consultant
- Trade qualified or degree qualified Electrical professional
- Proven project experience across NPI, Piping, Water, Transmission, Green Energy or Oil & Gas
- Strong understanding of: Systemisation and staged commissioning models, Control systems and interfaces, Energisation, commissioning and handover planning
- Demonstrated ability to technically challenge design, sequencing and integration plans from a commissioning perspective
- Able to translate technical complexity into clear, structured commissioning strategies and documentation
- Setting projects up for successful commissioning before execution begins
- Influencing outcomes early through commissioning planning, systemisation and integration strategy
- Supporting consistent, fit for purpose commissioning approaches across a portfolio of projects
- Supporting operations readiness and safe energisation of live assets, without site execution responsibility
- Ensuring commissioning and readiness requirements are embedded early across engineering, procurement and operations
