Senior Exploration Geologist

PROJECT / SENIOR EXPLORATION GEOLOGIST – DEVELOPMENT / INFILL FOCUS

A Western Australian–based gold exploration and development company is seeking an experienced Project / Senior Exploration Geologist to support resource definition and infill drilling programs across advancing gold assets.

The Role

• FIFO 2:1 roster
• 3‑month contract
• Immediate start preferred

Reporting to the Exploration Superintendent, this role is focused on delivering high‑quality geological inputs to support resource upgrades and project development decisions. The position requires a technically strong, hands‑on geologist who is comfortable operating close to the drill rig while contributing to interpretation and model refinement.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute infill and resource definition drilling programs in line with development schedules
• Supervise RC and diamond drilling, including detailed geological logging, sampling, and robust QA/QC practices
• Ensure consistent, accurate and timely capture of geological data within AcQuire and GIS platforms
• Deliver detailed orebody‑focused geological logging to support grade and domain continuity
• Conduct targeted geological mapping with an emphasis on controls on mineralisation and structure
• Integrate drilling, mapping, geochemical and geophysical datasets to refine geological and mineralisation models
• Provide technical input into resource estimation workflows, including interpretation, domaining, and modelling support
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure geological outputs meet development and reporting requirements

About You

• Tertiary qualification in Geology
• Demonstrated experience in gold resource definition and/or development‑stage exploration
• Strong, hands‑on background supervising RC, Diamond and Aircore drilling programs
• High confidence in logging quality, geological interpretation, and data integrity
• Proficient with Micromine, ArcGIS, AcQuire or similar exploration software
• Solid experience in 3D geological interpretation and modelling
• First Aid and 4WD certification
