Position Overview
The HR Generalist will serve as the primary on‑the‑ground HR resource for a growing organization. This role functions as a true Swiss‑army‑knife generalist, providing tactical and operational HR support across the full employee lifecycle. This position is critical in easing workload, strengthening HR processes, and supporting both employees and leaders.

Key Responsibilities
Employee & Labor Relations
  • Act as the first point of contact for managers and employees regarding employee relations issues, inquiries, and complaints.
  • Conduct internal investigations as assigned by HR leadership.
  • Interpret HR policies, company processes, and employment legislation to ensure compliance.
  • Use sound judgment to identify when issues require elevation to HR leadership.
HR Operations & Generalist Support
  • Support core HR processes including performance management (PADP), staffing & development, case management, and policy administration.
  • Identify, implement, or lead improvements to HR processes and workflows.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and manage sensitive information with discretion.
  • Provide basic payroll support as needed (experience preferred).
Business Partnership
  • Partner with all levels of management to communicate HR objectives, provide guidance, and support decision‑making.
  • Identify people implications of business strategies and advise leaders on solutions.
  • Build strong relationships across the organization and establish trust and credibility.
Culture, Inclusion & Engagement
  • Promote diversity, inclusion, and respect for different perspectives through HR processes and initiatives.
  • Support leadership and supervisory effectiveness through coaching and HR interventions.
Data, Reporting & Compliance
  • Analyze HR data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities; recommend and implement action plans.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reporting to support HR operations.
Qualifications
  • 8–10 years of HR Generalist experience
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Experience supporting employee relations, investigations, and policy interpretation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to bring structure and clarity to complex or evolving environments.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction while collaborating closely with HR leadership.
  • Strong listening skills, sound judgment, and the ability to identify and escalate concerns appropriately.
  • Experience with pay, benefits, and payroll support is an asset.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
