Job Description – Senior Installation Analysis Engineer

Location: Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines / La Défense, France
Duration: 12 months

Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Installation Analysis Engineer / Senior Installation Analysis Engineer to join a major offshore engineering project team.
The successful candidate will support the Installation Analysis discipline by delivering detailed engineering studies required for the safe and efficient execution of offshore installation operations.
The role involves close collaboration with project, methods, structural, naval, pipeline, and installation teams throughout project execution. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform installation analyses for offshore and subsea operations.
  • Develop detailed engineering calculations and reports to support project execution.
  • Carry out transportation, lifting, launching, laying, recovery and installation studies.
  • Define installation procedures and operational limitations.
  • Assess environmental loads, vessel motions, seafastening and marine operation criteria.
  • Participate in risk assessments and engineering reviews.
  • Interface with multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical consistency.
  • Ensure analyses comply with project specifications, industry standards and client requirements.
  • Support offshore operations when required and provide engineering assistance during execution activities. 
Required Qualifications
  • Degree in Mechanical, Structural, Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering or related discipline.
  • Significant experience in offshore installation engineering within the Oil & Gas sector.
  • Proven experience with subsea construction and marine operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken). 
Preferred Technical Skills
Experience with one or more of the following:

  • OrcaFlex
  • Abaqus
  • ANSYS
  • SACS
  • Offshore transportation & installation analyses
  • Pipeline and umbilical installation
  • Heavy lift and lifting analysis
  • Dynamic and hydrodynamic analysis
  • Seafastening design
  • Marine operations engineering
Certifications Mandatory:

  • Valid BOSIET (OPITO) with CA-EBS
  • Valid Medical Fitness Certificate (MFC) 
Mobility Requirements
  • Occasional onshore missions (up to 1 month).
  • Possible offshore assignments (up to 2 months).
  • Valid travel documentation and willingness to support project execution activities worldwide.

You are a proactive offshore engineering professional with extensive experience in installation analysis and marine operations.
You are comfortable working in a fast-paced project environment and capable of delivering high-quality engineering solutions to support complex offshore installation campaigns.
