Position: Senior Installation Engineer
Location: France for 6/12 months then offshore/onshore rotations in Angola
Duration:12 Months Renewable contract
Key Responsibilities
• Review and validate installation engineering documentation provided by contractors
• Act as technical focal point for installation-related topics within the SURF scope
• Interface with multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment across project packages
• Support onshore and offshore installation activities in line with project requirements
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards, company procedures, and international regulations
• Evaluate risks associated with installation methodologies and propose mitigations
• Monitor installation engineering activities to ensure quality, schedule, and cost targets are met
• Participate in technical reviews including HAZOP, HAZID, and project reviews
• Oversee testing activities such as FAT, EFAT, and system integration testing
• Review and approve installation vessel specifications and associated risk plans
• Supervise load-out, seafastening, and offshore installation activities when required
• Coordinate SIMOPS and COMOPS preparation activities
• Manage interfaces with other engineering disciplines and packages
• Lead and participate in contractor meetings and technical workshops
• Provide technical support to offshore and yard-based teams
• Ensure timely delivery and readiness of technical documentation
• Contribute to lessons learned, reporting, and project close-out documentation
Required Qualifications
• Minimum 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry
• At least 10 years of experience in a similar role within deepwater projects
• Proven experience in offshore installation engineering
• Engineering degree or equivalent qualification
• Valid BOSIET certification
• Strong understanding of installation engineering standards and practices
• Experience working with contractors and suppliers in an engineering environment
• Knowledge of general specifications and industry standards
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); French is advantageous
• Ability to work in international and offshore environments
